Leading cross-sector collaboration for social change

What We Do

At Sheatufim, we believe that in order to achieve meaningful social change, all three sectors (government, business and non-profits) must join forces for a common cause. Our job is to provide them with the needed tools to do so.

Our expertise is developing and leading diverse platforms for cross-sector collaboration between senior government officials, non-profit CEOs, philanthropists, and prominent members of the business community.

How We Do That – Our Main Strategies:

>> Leading and facilitating collaborative cross-sector initiatives at the national level: Collective Impact and Government engagement

>> Researching and developing collaborative approaches for social change and disseminating them to the field

Collective Impact

Since 2013, Sheatufim has led the 5X2 initiative for Israeli STEM excellence. We created a task force of 100 organizations: public agencies, high tech companies, philanthropic foundations, nonprofit organizations and academia that work together in full cooperation with the Ministry of Education to increase the number of students taking advanced level math and science courses. Within five years we have doubled the number of high school students passing their matriculation exams in advnaced level Math and increased the number of students who complete high level Science. In 2016, Sheatufim established the “Foundation for National Initiatives", a unique partership of Israeli businesspeople and philanthropists tackling social change. Its first initiative is the "Life Shield Initiative" aimed to reduce mortality from hospital-acquired infections by 50% and the current pilot in the Sheba and Galilee hospitals is on track to reach that target, successfully, within the next six months. Government Led Cross-Sector Dialogue

Sheatufim is the leading facilitator in Israel of public engagement processes in the government, developing new national initiatives and policies in diverse socioeconomic areas. In the last 10 years we worked with 10 Ministries on 40 different public pariticipation processes in fields including Economy, Education, Health, Social Equality, and Civil Society.

We initiated and led the first cross-sector roundtable in Israel at the Prime Minister's Office for 9 consecutive years, which gave rise to reforms on issues such as social business, encouraging philanthropy, and volunteering in Israel. Read more on Cross-sector Dialogue
