Ronny Douek is an Israeli social entrepreneur, businessman, philanthropist, and 2025 Israel Prize Laureate for Lifetime Achievement, recognized for his transformative contributions to Israeli society. For over three decades, he has created and led groundbreaking solutions to major national challenges.<\/p>\n
In addition to his social entrepreneurship, he invests in the development of Israel’s periphery through ventures in agriculture and tourism.<\/p>\n
In 2006, Ronny established \u201cSheatufim\u201d, an infrastructure organization for national social initiatives using the Collective Impact methodology. Sheatufim has become one of Israel’s leading organizations in multi-sector collaboration, strengthening and advancing civil society through strategic partnerships between government, business, and nonprofit sectors. Sheatufim is currently leading efforts to support youth victims of Oct. 7th, among other initiatives.<\/p>\n
Prior to founding Sheatufim, Ronny founded \u201cZionism 2000\u201d, a non-profit organization aiming to develop a culture of social responsibility among the civic and business community in Israel. Under his leadership, the organization oversaw hundreds of businesses led social initiatives across the country with particular focus on underserved communities in Israel’s geographic and social periphery.<\/p>\n
Earlier in his career, Ronny founded \u201cAch-Shav\u201d, a community centers network for immigrants from Ethiopia and the Caucasus, and \u201cAlternative\u201d, a national youth program for drug use prevention. Ronny previously served as Chairman of Israel’s Anti-Drug Authority, twice as Co-Chair of the General Assembly of the Jewish Federations of North America, and as a Rashi Foundation Board Member.<\/p>\n
Ronny has received numerous awards and recognitions, including an Honorary Doctorate from The Open University of Israel, being an Honorary Fellow at Ruppin Academic Center and Shenkar College, serving as Torch Lighter at Israel’s Independence Day ceremony and receiving the Presidential Award for Volunteerism from Israeli President Ezer Weizman.<\/p>\n
